Odyssey Restaurant Launches Racine’s First Free "Wi-Fi" Hotspot!

The Odyssey Restaurant, located at 5016 Washington Ave, Racine, WI, has just deployed Racine’s first "FREE" high-speed Internet "Wi-Fi" Hotspot. The free service gives customers the ability to surf the web and get their email while enjoying a nice meal. The service is “Free” and it boasts a 1000K-connection speed, which is roughly 35 times faster than a standard dial-up phone line.

Restaurant manager Tom Vasiliou says that he wants to offer more value to his customers. He feels that by providing Internet access, he can better server the needs of existing customers and also attract new ones.

The “Wi-Fi” Hotspot at the Odyssey Restaurant can be accessed with any laptop or PDA that incorporates the standard wireless technology (802.11b enabled). Accessing the Internet is simple and the speeds are excellent. The system receives connectivity via a high-speed microwave link provided by CyberLynk.
